My home for a couple of months! It was filthy inside much of the time, so I felt comfortable. We used to be a carpet store, and we used to be painted some godawful salmon color, but we got the red-white-and-blue treatment thanks to some local union workers. Our big sign blew down a couple of times during hurricane season, but we managed to get it fixed up and back in place for the last ten days of the campaign. A good metaphor for the doomed effort! No doubt the locals think that we lost the election because we didn't have enough yard signs and the Kerry sign blew down. Nothing about the 400,000 votes that we didn't have!
